Ze’s style Korean BBQ..YUMMY!!

I was home for Labor Day so I decided that I wanted to cook something. I am sure everyone is out grilling with friends and family, but I had decided to just stay in and catch up on my lakorns and do some cleaning and honestly take some time to rest. I wasn’t able to work on my room, but I was able to clean the kitchen! Finally that kitchen is clean again. I feel like if I don’t clean the kitchen no one does. It gets me so irritated.

Anyways so for dinner I had decided to make one of my few specialty dishes.  I made my all yummy Korean BBQ mozemoua’s style. I honestly don’t believe in recipe so if you want to know how to make it just ask me, but I won’t be able to tell you how much of what you’ll need. When I cook I just put in whatever amount I want of whatever I feel like putting in, so never does my cooking have a recipe; I guess I just know all the right amount of ingredients to put in for the flavor I want.

I made this dish for the first time at my friend’s house for a surprise birthday party. All my friends thought it was so good that when we went to our cabin trip, the girls who were at the cabin trip demanded that I needed to make the same dish again. So I did and all the people who tried it for the first time at the cabin loved it so much I had to make it like 2 other times. And then for my birthday BBQ my brother and cousins did for me couple weeks ago, my friends once again demanded that I make it.

Believe me, it is yummy!!

The uncook beef spare ribs

Chop onion (it should be chop long way), green onion (chop long way), garlic and cilantro (just the leaves and it should not be chop). I am picky so everything must be chop the right way and lenght.

stir frying the beef spare ribs

Oyster sauces is my all time favorite sauce!! and the korean sauce

The spare ribs are almost ready

The Onion being cooked with the same pan as the beef, the pan should not be clean and it should have a little juice left in the pan

The green onion is than added with the onion to be cooked

When the onion and green onion is cooked it is mixed with the fresh cilantro and the cooked beef

everything is mixed together

The beef is than served with rice. YUMMY!!!

Kaba Modern live at Pure Atlanta

Because my plans for the weekend had been changed I had decided that since the Kaba Moderns were in town I would mind as well go to their party so I did. Actually my Labor Day weekend was either between going to NC for the soccer tournament and party in NC or go to the Kaba Modern party. I decided that I wanted to go up to NC for the tournament because my mom wanted me to deliver some stuff for my uncle, but plans had been changed and I wasn’t able to go anymore so Plan B was what I ended up doing.

Me and my cousin went to Pure Atlanta and met up with some of my friends whom I have not seen in a very long time and saw couple of people I knew there as well.  It was a great party although I wasn’t much into the music. I guess I am just getting too old and because it was an 18+ club I just felt very old in that room. But the good thing was I was able to watch the Kaba Moderns perform up close.

I was very upset that they were in third place in “America’s best dance crew”. I thought they deserve to go one on one with the Jabawakees (sorry if I spelt their name wrong). I honestly thought the other group SUCKED! They should have gotten third place instead of the Kaba Moderns! Oh well, at least Jabawakees took the gold!

The group performed one dance live for us to watch, and they were amazingly good! Before that people were able to get in line and take pictures with the group, I wasn’t able to take pictures with the group, my camera battery ran low so I wasn’t able to take much pictures but when they performed live I was able to take some pictures from my cell phone.

These pictures were taken right before my camera had ran out of battery.

An Early Misty Saturday Morning

I was suppose to spend the weekend in North Carolina, but plans ended up changing at the very last minutes thus I wasn’t able to go. This Labor Day weekend was the United Hmong Association soccer tournament in Lenoir North Carolina and my mom had wanted me to go because her brother, my uncle from St. Paul MN was going to the event to sale movies, for he is a traditional Hmong singing director. Me, my two sisters and my cousin was suppose to drive up to NC to delivers some chickens and some of my mom’s fresh veggies from her garden to my uncle, but my dad had a change of plans and decided that it was unsafe for me to drive 4 hours up to Lenoir so he decided to deliver them himself, well with my mom of course. I was honestly pretty pissed because it was planned for over two months and he changed his mind the night before we were supposed to go.

It’s funny how I’ve been driving for such a long time now, and I’ve driven up to North Carolina for many of times before, and ended up receiving a speeding ticket couple years back, but nonetheless, I’ve been up to NC plenty of time. Not just that, I even drove down to Florida for over 8 hours by myself. I don’t understand why he was tripping about my driving for the first time.

Oh well, I guess he was only looking after myself, my sisters and my cousin. I honestly think he wanted to go, but didn’t know how to tell me that he wanted to go instead so he somehow waited for the last minute to break the news that I couldn’t go or more like he didn’t want me to drive up there.  His excuse was “Don’t you know, driving up to NC is not safe, all three of my daughters are going up there, if anything happened to you guys, you know I won’t be able to survive”. So since he said that, I just decided to accept the fact that he won’t let me drive up there.

So while I was at my parents place, I was able to wake up early enough Saturday morning to see how beautiful it was that early morning. My parents got up early to pick up some veggies from their farm and I had decided that I wanted to go talk to my dad for the last time about letting us go to NC since it was still early. But what caught my attention was the beautiful morning mist that was visible. It had taken my breath away.  It was unbelievable beautiful. I had not been able to wake up early enough to see such beauty in a very long time. So I grabbed my camera and took some pictures. The pictures did not turn out as beautiful as it really was, but I thought the pictures were able to capture some of the beautiful late summer morning mist.

It truly reminded me of when we first arrived to Georgia from California. It was absolutely beautiful!
